Getting to Blacksburg, VA

By air: Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA) is located 35 miles away from Blacksburg. ROA has direct flights from/to most major hubs of the East Coast and Midwest. We advise you to make your flight reservations in advance as flying to ROA can be expensive. Getting from ROA to Blacksburg is easiest by car (several car rental companies have in-terminal counters). Smart Way Bus is another (very inexpensive) way to get to Blacksburg from ROA. Busses run every hour and stop at the Virginia Tech campus. To get to your hotel you can then either walk (10 minutes to the Holiday Inn or the Inn at Virginia Tech) or you can take a Blacksburg Transit bus.
